Prime Microfinance Limited
At PRIME MICROFINANCE we are committed to conducting business in a responsible way and, for this reason, the Bank restricts itself from certain types of business for ethical and legal reasons.
Our passion for building a sustainable future for our business is matched by our desire to be a responsible business in our non-financial activities. That’s why we’re committed to achieving environmental best practice and we have policies, practices and targets in place to help us succeed.
The policy of reduce, reuse and recycle has been encouraged across our operations. This culture has taken on more meaning and more structure in recent years with the establishment of our sustainability working group. They develop and review our environmental policy, and make sure it’s communicated to all staff and enacted through recycling, energy saving and carbon footprint initiatives
We’ve participated in the Corporation of Accra’s Clean City Award scheme since it was launched in 1994, and have twice been awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Cup. In 2017 we were again recognised as a leading company committed to recycling and environmental best practice and sustainability.
The Bank makes charitable donations including support for employee fundraising through the Bank’s “$ for $” scheme, matching fund raising up to $500 per employee per year. The Bank also facilitates “Give As You Earn” charitable giving by employees, as well as matching holiday days for staff who undertake volunteer work in the UK or overseas.
